To qualify for a fiancé(e) visa, the petitioner must demonstrate:
- That both the U.S. Citizen (petitioner) and the fiancé(e) (beneficiary) are legally free to marry and intend to marry within 90 days of the beneficiary’s admission to the United States.
- That the U.S. citizen Petitioner and the Foreign Fiancé (e) Have met each other in person within the two years immediately before filing the petition; unless this requirement violates strict and long-established customs of the fiancé(e)’s foreign culture or social practice.
